School Index
The Michigan School Index System measures public school performance in six key areas—student growth, student proficiency, school quality/student success, graduation rate, English Learner progress, and assessment participation. |
Student Count
The Student Count report provides an unduplicated count of students attending a specific district or school. |
Graduation/Dropout Rate
The Grad/Dropout Rate report shows the percent and/or total count of public high school students who, after beginning ninth grade four, five or six years ago, graduated or dropped out of school. |
Student Assessment
Student assessment in grades 3 through 8 include the Michigan Student Test of Educational Progress (M-STEP), PSAT, and MI-Access. Students in high school, grade 11, take one of two assessment: the Michigan Merit Exam (which includes M-STEP, SAT and WorkKeys) or MI-Access

Financial Information
MI School Data provides comprehensive current and historical financial reports for all school districts and public school academies via the Expenditure, Revenue, Fund Balance, and Balance Sheet reports. Additionally, the Financial Transparency Dashboard provides a variety of financial metrics to see how a district is performing financially.
